When a disaster strikes, nobody wanted it to happen and nobody wanted that a fellowman will suffer. It was a sadness that war affected Mindanao, typhoon hits Luzon and just recently, earthquake affected Bohol and Cebu. Thus, it was a relief to see Filipino people doing their best to help each other thru relief operations and unified by prayers. Thus I felt bad when someone sent this captured photo, a post of a certain, Jeannette Ramos Vallejos. Her photo and her name is associated with this FB account, https://www.facebook.com/jing.vallejos,
based from a source, she is a resident of Pasay City, an Iglesia ni Cristo who studied in New Era University, daughter of Ermie Vallejos Sr., a minister and Regina Vallejos. A theatre enthusiast and currently a talent of ABS-CBN Dagupan.
Her post created a lot of reactions since as I believe a disaster is not a choice of anyone to happen, thus it was a big disgust to see such post. I believe that varied religious belief is never an excuse to show nasty attitude towards other people. Last October 5, the members of INC created a massive traffic jam in La Union since they have an evangelical mission and the traffic jam affected the Manila area when they have another evangelical mission last October 14, 2013 thus a lot of people were expressing their disgust over the event’s negative effect that affected the traffic flow. I believe that that their purpose is quite admirable but the event organizers are disorganized for the lack of overseeing the possible effects of the traffic jam. I, myself is involved in outreach projects and proper coordination is needed for it to be successful and won’t negatively affect some people. Thus I recommend that if another INC Evangelical mission will be done, it is better that they will just be the one to go to the target recipients rather than the people to go to certain venue wherein the number of vehicles were not controlled and traffic jam followed.
In the end, respect for each other’s belief, whatever the religion is, having GOD in our life is what is needed because if we have it, then respect for each other will follow.
I am not seeing that I am perfect, but I’d rather have a firm belief in God and quietly praising His Holy Name, rather than flaunting about my religion or uplifting my belief but stepping on other people.
and the only thing I could do for her is, pray and pray so she will realize that religion should not divide us rather respect for each other be maintained so that we can still survive any catastrophe to happen.
just take a look at the different reactions of her post.
Princess Jazmine Gamboa Crispino Egocentric. Tsk tsk. Its not abt the religion. Its about faith. God doesn’t want that to happen. Instead of bickering empty minded posts, why won’t she just pray for the filipinos. What if i’ll throw her back what she said na hindi intindi. Disappointed lang. Instead of thinking of those stuff. Why won’t she think of what her fellow filipino has suffered. Tsk tsk.
Arlyn Anne Ramos Hagad Even me na INC hiyang hiya sa pngssabi ng babaeng to.I don’t even think she deserves to be one of us. Walang pinag aralan. Mark Delizo The churches that were damaged/destroyed are not only places of worship but are considered national cultural treasures. They form part of the Philippine’s rich history and belong to all Filipinos, whether Catholic or not. It is obvious that this Jeanette Ramos Vallejos has no sense of history or pride for Filipino culture and heritage, besides being a bigot and ignorant, she probably has an I.Q. lower than room temperature measured in degree celsius. I hope you’re parents and your church are proud of you. Otherwise, start digging a hole for yourself. Peace.
Matet Madrid-Ancheta Ay salbag! Taga media pla!
She’s an INC, indeed she is. But not all of them ay katulad nya.. Respect to all na lang..
