“Different Activities Slated For La Union’s 163rd Foundation Anniversary”

Several programs and activities are scheduled in line with the celebration of the 163rd Foundation Anniversary of the Province of La Union on March 2, 2013. This year’s theme is “Panagkaykaysa, Urnos ken Talna, Mangtaginayon iti Progreso ti Amin” (Unity, Peace and Order Sustain Progress for All).
The series of activities will be opened by Gov. Manuel C. Ortega’s delivery of the State of the Province Address on February 21, 2013, 3 PM, at the Sanguniang Panlalawigan Session Hall, Provincial Capitol.
Some of the highlight activities are the following:
• “Saliweng” (3rd Ayat Festival) Inter-School Choral and Dance Competition (February 25, San Fernando City Plaza)
• Bamboo Expo 2013 and Pinakalympics Contest (February 26, SF City Hall);
• Grand Electric Float Parade (February 27, Balaoan, La Union);
• La Union Travel and Tourism Fair (February 27 at the CSI City Mall, Biday, SFC);
• Anniversary Thanksgiving Mass (March 2, Provincial Capitol Grounds, SFC);
• Pammadayaw 2013 Conferment of Provincial Awards (March 2, Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, SFC)
• Search for Mutia ti La Union 2013 (March 2, 2013 at SFC Plaza); and
• 2nd Sillag Festival (March 9-10, 2013 at Poro Point Management Corporation Grounds, Poro, SFC)
