Walang Breathing

Spreading like a fire that there was a player of the Far Eastern University (FEU) men’s basketball team who’ve been caught spitting on the bench of Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) players during the two schools’ University Athletics Association of the Philippines (UAAP) match on the 29th of August, 2012, a Wednesday hot day.

When FEU Tamaraw center Arvie Bringas was bumped by ADMU player Greg Slaughter, reason for him to fell hard to the floor in front of the Ateneo Blue Eagles’ bench. Bringas then stood up, spat back at ADMU player Justin Chua.

The moment was captured on camera by Twitter user @camillenaredo (Camille Eugenia Maredo) then the ANC 24/7 posted it at their FB Page.

Bringas was eventually disqualified and thrown out of the game. He was also suspended for a game.

The event was not actually the first of the match, as FEU’s Mac Belo and Ateneo’s Ryan Buenafe were earlier ejected after a heated exchange after Buenafe was called for a foul on Anthony Hargrove.

In the end, the Eagles came victorious, 77-64, making their standings to 8-1 (win-loss) against the Tamaraws’ 7-3.
